Turkish GP Poll Results

Sunday, 01 January 2006
Readers of Formula 1 Review largely anticipated Kimi Raikkonen's victory in Turkey. A poll asking visitors who would win the inaugural Turkish GP was started on August 7th and was closed before raceday on the 20th of August 2005.
54% of voters expected the Finn to win, while title contender and favorite Fernando Alonso received only 20% of the votes.

Michael Schumacher's upbeat performance in Hungary misled 18% of voters.

Juan Pablo Montoya and Giancarlo Fisichella got six and three percent of the votes respectively.

Formula 1 Review's post race poll asked visitors who was to blame for the Montoya-Monteiro incident on the penultimate lap. The result of the poll failed to give a clear answer, with 42.9% of voters giving the blame Tiago Monteiro and the same percentage of voters saw Juan Pablo Montoya responsible. 14.1% of voters thought neither driver was to blame.
